Coproduct Efficiency

The efficiency of production of a co-product fuel (energy carrier). Efficiency data are only visible for those technology branches that are part of a Useful Energy Demand Analysis. These branches are indicated by green technology icons (). In addition to specifying the fuels consumed by these technologies, you can also specify that one or more of these technologies also produce a co-product. You can do this by editing the properties of the technology as shown below.
For example, you might specify an industrial combined heat and power system that is designed to meet a heating demand by consuming natural gas, but which also produces electricity as a co-product.
Note that in most systems the sum of the efficiency and co-product efficiency terms should be less than or equal to 100%.
