The chart form of the energy balance shows a more aggregate representation of the data shown in the energy balance table. It consists of two side-by-side horizontal bar charts. The chart on the left shows final and secondary energy consumption broken down into final demand, export and secondary consumption components. The chart on the right shows energy supplies broken down into indigenous production, import and secondary production components. By default, each bar in the chart corresponds to a fuel grouping, although as with the table form of the balance, you can also display years or fuels as the bars in the chart. When displaying results by fuel, fuel grouping, or region a slider control is shown at the foot of the energy balance. Use this to quickly select among different years.
You can use a number of tools for configuring the chart. Options include the ability to select the scenario, year and region to be displayed, to change the energy units in which results are reported, to change the colors of the chart (). You can also print the chart (), save it to a file () or export it to a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation ().
